Please read these terms before using Muthmainnah. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. About the app

Muthmainnah is a prayer-time companion app: it calculates prayer times, sends reminders, can automatically silence your phone during prayer (on supported Android devices), tracks a Hijri calendar, and shows the Qibla direction. It is provided by Aslam Azis (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Prayer time and religious accuracy

Prayer times are calculated using standard, published astronomical methods, or — for supported Indonesian cities — sourced directly from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag). We take reasonable care to calculate and present this information accurately, but Muthmainnah is a tool to help you keep track of prayer times, not a religious authority. For matters of religious practice or ruling, please consult a qualified local scholar or your local mosque.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Muthmainnah on your own devices for your own personal use. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app.

4. Muthmainnah Pro (purchases)

Muthmainnah Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks additional features for the lifetime of your use of the app on the platform you purchased it on — it is not a subscription and does not renew or expire. Purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play; refunds, billing disputes, and payment issues are governed by Apple’s or Google’s own refund policies, not by us directly. If you restore a previous purchase (via “Restore Purchases” in Settings), Pro features unlock again at no additional charge, provided the store confirms a valid prior purchase on that account.

5. Optional cloud backup

If you use the optional backup feature (a Pro feature), you are responsible for your own Google Drive or iCloud account, including any storage limits, fees, or terms imposed by Google or Apple for that account. We are not responsible for backup data lost due to your own account being deleted, storage limits being exceeded, or your device’s local encryption key being lost (which, since it never leaves your device, only you can back up or recover).

6. Your content

Any custom audio files, reminder text, or configuration you add to the app stays on your device (or in your own encrypted cloud backup, if enabled) — we never receive or store it ourselves.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Muthmainnah is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that prayer-time calculations will be perfectly accurate for every location or calculation method.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aslam Azisshall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including, without limitation, a missed prayer time or notification due to a device, operating system, or network issue outside our control.

9. Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the app or these terms from time to time. If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, note it within the app.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the app (for example, a server-dependent feature like Kemenag schedules or cloud backup) at our discretion, though the app’s core offline functionality does not depend on any service we operate.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
